What a result - Dunhill and Luo Shine

On Thursday the 12th of September Harrow played the opening fixture of the season against BSB Shunyi.

Our U12 Boys and Girls played at BSB and scored 21 goals between them. Miss. Buchanan and Mr. Graham were really pleased with these performances; notable performers were Dunhill & Liu from the boy’s teams and Luo from the girls.

Our U14A Girls team found it tough against a well drilled BSB team; the girls and Mr. Quaite are looking forward to getting back on the training field after expedition week.

Our U14B Girls team also put in an impressive performance, Mr. Lewis was particularly impressed with Wu who was instrumental in all of the goals. Harrow, who was without start goalkeeper Tan, went on to win the game 3-4.

We hosted two tightly contested U14 Boys games at Harrow with the Division 1 game being an absolute cracker. The game started with a debut goal from Khachatryan after some excellent pressing in the final third. BSB then were able to get back into the game after some sloppy defence work by Harrow. The game then went goal crazy BSB scored again via a penalty and then two goals by Zhang put Harrow back into the lead. Zhang was fantastic throughout, but after showing poor sportsmanship, Mr. Soro had to take him off for the rest of the game.

With five minutes left, another lapse in concentration and poor communication meant Harrow gave away another penalty which BSB converted comfortably and conceded and forth in the last kick of the game. Game finished 3-4.

The U14 B team, who was coached by Mr.Gray, put in a fantastic performance; Xu and Pineda were excellent throughout and showed signs of forming a great partnership. There were some other debuts for this team with Han and Wang showing great potential.

Overall we have a mixed week in terms of results but the effort was there this week and I think all of our teams will have a great season.
